Visa for participants
Citizens (passport holders) of the ASEAN countries, Russia, P.R. China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, France and Belarus may not require a visa for a short visit (15 days). If citizens of these countries wish to stay in Vietnam for more than 15 days, they are required to apply for a Vietnamese visas.
If you need more information about Vietnamese visas, please inquire at Vietnamese Missions Abroad in your country, or the Immigration Department website listed above.
It is also possible to get a “visa on arrival”. This is a visa to be picked up at the airport upon arrival at one of Vietnam’s international airports (Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh, Cam Ranh Airport in Nha Trang City, Da Nang Airport in Da Nang City or Noi Bai Airport in Ha Noi). In order to obtain such a visa, you will require an official and approved invitation letter that can be obtained online from a variety of private companies such as “My Vietnam Visa”. These companies are usually committed to making the application process as simple as possible and will often promtly answer any questions you may have.
Please note that a Vietnamese visa is still required in the case that you enter Vietnam from a third country even if you possess a long-term visa for the country in question.
